Imagine discovering you are not the person you thought you were. That you have a family, a history, an ethnicity you never knew. How would this discovery impact your life, the lives of those around you; your vision of yourself and society?
Michael Fosberg was raised by his biological mother and adoptive father in a working-class white family. At the age of 30, Michael began a search for his biological father. Two years later, with only a name and a city, he tracked down his dad and spoke to him for the very first time. His father said that there were a few things his mother hadn't told him. First, that he's always loved him and always thought about him. And two: "I'm African-American."
Fosberg went through an identity and racial crisis. Growing up thinking he was white and later learning that he is African-American, he struggled to find out who he was. For more information please go to www.incognitotheplay.com.
