Cooperative Work Experience
Cooperative Work Experience (CWE) enables students to put into practice the skills that they learn in the classroom. This "hands-on" experience improves skills and creates new and exciting employment opportunities.
Students work in positions that apply to their chosen career fields. Assistance is available through the CWE department to find an appropriate work site. Types of work experience include job shadowing, mentoring and experimental internships. Students may earn up to twelve CWE credits toward their degree. For each credit earned, they must document 36 hours at the job site. Contact an advisor for information.
