Blackboard can be accessed through any computer (PC or Mac) that has Internet access. We generally suggest using Internet Explorer version 5.5 and higher or Netscape version 6.2 and higher when using Blackboard.
Click the Login button on the main Blackboard splash page (located under the Blackboard logo).
Enter your username and password and click the Login button. Typically your username will be in the following format: Username: first initial middle initial last name with NO SPACES Like this: John R. Smith = jrsmith Note: If you didn't give your middle initial when you registered, or if you don't have one, your Username is first initial last name, like this: jsmith Password: last 4 digits of Social Security Number + _ + 4 digit birth YEAR. Like this: 5436_1990 Note: If you did not register with a Social Security Number, your Password will be the first 3 letters of your Username and the first 3numbers of your student ID number. Like this: jsm256
You will be taken to your personal Blackboard home page. Instructors and Students will see a 'Welcome, UserName' banner near the top of the screen. Students will not see any courses until the instructor has enrolled them into a class.
