New TVCC Caldwell Center Facility
New TVCC Caldwell Center has been completed on the banks of Indian Creek. The new building opened for classes on Sept. 20, 2010.

Building Use: Administration Offices, Student Activities Offices, Student Lounges, Student Services, Faculty Offices, Bookstore, Retail Coffee/Deli Shop, 17 Classrooms including Chemistry and Biology labs, Laboratory Preparation Room, Cadaver Room, Lecture Hall, Testing rooms, Video and Computer classrooms for distance-learning classes.

       Registered with the certification goal of LEED® Certified Gold

WATER USE REDUCTION
Low-flow plumbing fixtures were utilized to achieve 30% water use reduction.

RECYCLED CONTENT
12% of the materials used in the building have recycled content.

CONSTRUCTION WASTE MANAGEMENT
At least 75% of the non-hazardous construction and demolition debris was recycled.

GREEN POWER
35% of building electricity use over a two year period has been purchased using off-site renewable energy.

DAYLIGHT AND VIEWS
The building was designed so that at least 90% of regularly occupied spaces are day lit and 90% of occupants have a direct view to the outside.

OPTIMIZE ENERGY PERFORMANCE
The design of the building improves energy performance by 29% through the implementation of a cooling tower, high efficiency heat recovery units and photo sensors.

Limited disruption and pollution of natural water flows by treating 100% of the storm water runoff.
