ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL
The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree is a recommended course of study for individuals interested in pursuing a career in office administration. The degree is not designed to transfer to a four-year institution, although a majority of classes are transferable. The Legal Office Administration program provides solid groundwork in legal office procedures, basic office skills, legal terminology and concepts, and computer training. Legal coursework provides a wide background from an introduction to law to legal research. Students may select coursework specific to criminal law, civil law, real estate law, probate, etc. The student entering this program is preparing for immediate employment in a legal office upon completion of this degree.
